Tidewater Pest Control Association, TPCA, is moving ahead at full speed. Our dedicated officers and board of directors are working non-stop to spread the news of why it is important to be a member of the Association. With the Presidential election year coming up, we hear a lot about “change”; this is not a new subject with our Association. For the first time in the history of

the TPCA, we are building a bridge connecting the Southside companies and the Peninsula companies, with our 3, 6, 9 plan. Within our industry the seriousness of regulations regarding better techniques, record keeping and more effective treatments procedures, promote brotherhood and cooperation among its members. That brotherhood comes in various forms, from the speakers at our general membership meetings to the ability to pick up the phone and head off a problem that might develop into a grievance if left unaddressed.

  “Making a Difference” mosquito
Making a difference, isn’t that what “associations” are all about? I started attending TPCA meetings over twenty-five years ago, even though back then we didn’t have the education programs we now do, everyone had a vision for the association and talked to others about various situations that arose. This association is one of the anchors that held me to this industry; TPCA is about helping the consumer. As I grew within this industry I developed my own vision, not only for my own company but also for the TPCA as a whole. I would like the next generation of members to say when we are gone, that they are proud of the forefathers of our industry for bringing us together, & for educating us from both their own personal experiences and formal training sessions. The TPCA is blessed with many pest control icons, and many who have passed on who will never be forgotten. Reach out to those icons, their real world experience is invaluable when addressing a situation you may not have experienced.
