This month's topic is "Unusual Occasional Invaders" with Jack Horsley. Dr. Jack is a wealth of information to our association and we are fortunate to have him share his knowledge and experience with us. His help over the years has opened doors and shown the true meaning of association: that we are all in this together.
It is hard to believe September is coming up fast! It's that time of the year when our State and National Associations have several great courses to attend so this year we, are raffling a $200.00 voucher to Pest Fest for just$10.00 (the drawing will be held at this month's general meeting!) Also, don't forget that there are only fifty tickets left for the drawing with VPMA! There are different levels of prizes and the grand prize is $3000.00!! Contact TPCA for details.
This month’s topic is on ants which is something that everyone is having calls on this season. What is the cause for ants gone mad this year and what seems to be most effective in taking care of them? You won’t want to miss this meeting. It is hard to believe that the year is half way over! In saying that I have asked our five Board of Director’s to write a little something in the remainder of 2010. It would be crazy to take the glory of the TPCA progress in promoting our association without an outstanding and motivating Board of Directors. This month’s Board of Director is Chuck Roach; Chuck has done an outstanding job these past two-years with our books and budget and for the first time we were able to give to VPMA scholarship fund, thank you members.
Our guest Speaker this month is Greg Baumann from NPMA, you won’t want to miss this meeting. See Mr. Baumann’s Bio: http://www.pestworld.org/for-the-media/biographies/greg-baumann. It is hard to believe that the year is half way over! I have asked our five Board of Director’s to write a little something for the remainder of 2010. It would be crazy to take the glory for the TPCA’s progress in promoting our association. It has been a team effort with our outstanding and motivating Board of Directors.
Our meeting this month will be held at the Aberdeen Barn, it is important to review the new "bylaws" that have been presented. The Active Members will be voting on them at this month’s meeting. It is available for you to review on our website under Voting Matters. Our guest speaker this month is Charlie Pate with Zoecon who will be speaking on mosquitoes which is a fast growing concern in our area.
